Let’s start with a definition so we are on the same page. A safelist is an email mailing list of safelist members who opt-in or agree to receive email ads from other members who belong to the same email mailing list. Sounds a little incestuous doesn’t it? But if the safelist is large enough, you should have some success posting your email advertisements.
But you may wonder why would anyone involved in internet marketing spend time looking at someone else’s ads? Don't join just any safelist. You should consider joining one of the best safelists for email marketing.
One of the most important things you can do as an Internet marketer is to build a targeted, responsive list within your market.
A list provides you with the instant ability to connect with your target audience, while being able to build a relationship with your subscribers, establish credibility in your market, and maximize your income faster and easier than anything else.
If you are new to list building, rest assured that it’s a very simple process and there are many different ways that you can start collecting leads quickly and easily, and absolutely free. (You can also use paid methods to find leads, but more on that later.)

What is a solo ad and how can you begin to use this powerful technique today?
With solo ads, YOUR message is sent by email to a mailing list of people who are interested in what you have to offer.

And you KNOW in advance they are interested in what you offer! Your message stands alone, so the name "solo".
There are only TWO ways to make that happen.
1. Pay a solo-ad marketer that has a big list to send your message.
(This is a PPC method, or pay-per-click).
2. Buy a solo ad from an EZINE publisher.
You may already be familiar with the PPC method and I’ll post more on that method later. Today, however, let’s look at EZINES and solo ads.
The second method (ezine publisher) was new to me until I discovered the Directory of Ezines and figured out how to run a Solo Ad using an Ezine. Now this is something you can do.
And if you are a member of the Directory of Ezines, finding an ezine that will work for you and your offer is even easier. Just log in, search for ezines in your category that sell solo ads and find the one that fits your budget.

List building is only profitable if you focus on building a quality list.

But we really need to think the opposite here which is quality over quantity. Get the thoughts out of your head that tell you that you can only succeed with a big list. Forget all the video courses that you’ve watched that tell you that you can or should build a 10,000 list in two days. With that mindset, you’ll lose the focus which should be serving those on your list. Instead you’ll be seeing your list as a cash machine versus human beings.
Remember this important fact about your list… Quality over quantity!
A list of 100 could out-perform a list of 20,000 in terms of how it’s used.

There are many myths the so-called gurus want you to believe. They sell a dream that all you need for success is a massive list that converts effortlessly into a ton of sales. But in reality it takes work to create a high-converting list. Another myth is that you can start promoting to your list immediately. However, if you don’t have a relationship with your list, then converting them into sales is actually a lot harder. The approach in video #5 is quality over quantity. The size of your list won’t matter.
Congruency or consistency is important, and applying it to your plan of attack will allow you to convert at a higher rate. Your initial offer should reflect your future offers.
A way to position yourself in any market is to use your personality. As you build a relationship with your list, you will attract people on your list who are a lot like you. The saying – “birds of a feather flock together” – is true and it applies here as well.
Within your plan of the attack you should have a follow-up series ready to go in your autoresponder. This is a way to communicate with your new list and build a relationship on a consistent basis.
